Description

The British American Football Association (BAFA) is delighted to launch it's Player Safety Coach Development project with this Player Safety Clinic.

THIS IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL COACHES WHO COACH TACKLE FOOTBALL ... ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO HOLD A BAFCA LEVEL 1 (OR ABOVE) QUALIFICATION.


BAFA are looking to help create a better, safer game of tackle American Football, and thus are committed to up-skilling coaches in the sport.


This 4 hour clinic will be lead by BAFA Coach Developers, who have been trained by guest coaches from the USA, delivering elements of the USA Football Head's Up Football programme, so early registration is recommended.

The clinic will involve a mixture of theoretical tasks and practical activity, and will focus on the following:

a) Equipment Fitting
b) Concussion Recognition and Response
c) Emergency Action Planning
d) Practice Guidelines
e) Fundamentals of Safer Tackling
f) Fundamentals of Safer Blocking
g) Implementation into Coaching



PRE-REQUISITES:
Attendees must be 18 years of age (or older) to access the course.

There are no other prerequisites to entry, but all attendees must also complete the following form after they have registered for the Player Safety Clinic (the form requires an Eventbrite booking number):
