The Tree Council invites County Councils, Unitary and Metropolitan Boroughs, and Borough, District and City Councils to a Q&A session with Defra and the Forestry Commission to answer your questions about the LATF and UTCF
The Local Authority Treescapes Fund and Urban Tree Challenge Fund will be reopening early 2023, offering funding for planting and natural regeneration of trees outside woodlands, as part of the Government’s Nature for Climate Fund.
This meeting will start with a short introduction about the funds from Defra and FC colleagues. The panel will then answer questions posed in writing or in person during the session. If you have any questions you would like to be considered in advance, please send these to LATF@forestrycommission.gov.uk or UTCF@forestrycommission.gov.uk. All tier local authorities are welcome to the workshop; however, this is particularly for County Councils, Unitaries and Metropolitan Boroughs, and Borough, District and City Councils who are eligible to apply directly.
The live Q&A session will take place on the 5th of December 2022 between 14:00-15:00 via Zoom.
The event will not be recorded, however a summary of questions and answers will be circulated by email afterwards.
