About this event

The Ramblers and Macmillan Cancer Support have been running the national Walking for Health programme since 2012. The programme supports hundreds of free health walks that take place every week across England.

2018 will see a change in the way that the national programme is governed, and ahead of that we thought that now was a good opportunity to hear from our many partners and volunteers about how the programme is structured and what difference it makes to those involved.

We’ve called this process ‘A Footpath for the Future’ because what we want to end up with is a clear map of the programme, from the national support provided by the Ramblers, right through to the benefits it ultimately delivers to the individuals who take part in local walks. This will help us to communicate the benefits of Walking for Health to potential new funders, and identify ways in which the programme might be improved.

How we want you to be involved

We are inviting you to take part in a half-day event to give you an opportunity to share your experiences of Walking for Health and the Ramblers, and contribute to the development of this programme ‘map’. The event will be professionally facilitated.

Please complete the registration information below to confirm your attendance at the event.

Contact Jo Scott if you have any additional questions or access requirements.
