Tower Hamlets Inter Faith Forum are celebrating Inter Faith Week 2024 with our annual event.Tower Hamlets is a diverse borough and has a proud history of people from different backgrounds supporting each other.More than 137 languages are spoken and 43 per cent of our residents were born in more than 200 different countries. Recent research suggested that 9 out of 10 residents agree that ‘this local area is a place where people from different backgrounds get on well together’Our event will look at the changing of communities in the borough, hearing from local speakers, and focusing on ways to keep our borough harmonious and ensure that everyone feels that they belong.Speakers Include:<ul><li>Richard Wiltshire, Archives Manager, Tower Hamlets Local History Library and Archives</li><li>Leon Silver, East London Central Synagogue</li><li>Revd James Olanipekun, Christ Apostolic Church</li><li>Muhammed Mustaqim, Project Lead, Tower Hamlets Council of Mosques</li><li>An update on TH Council Cohesion Strategy</li></ul>Hosted by Our THIFF Chair, Sufia Alam, East London MosqueLocal stallholders inc: London Fire Brigade, Working Well Trust, Tower Hamlets Fostering Service, The Feast, Neighbours in Poplar, No Place for Hate, Tower Hamlets Methodist Church, FaithAction, Tower Hamlets Council Inter Faith Safeguarding Team, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets, Tower Hamlets Carers Centre and NHS Bowel Cancer Screening ProgrammeFree buffet refreshments!Everyone is welcome at our event!
