FORK Volunteers are invited to come and learn some basic machine sewing skills in an open and supported community studio at the Deep End.

Friends of the River Kelvin Volunteers are invited to come and learn some basic machine sewing skills in an open and supported community sewing studio at The Deep End. Use your new found skills, to help us upgrade our high-vis vests with new 'Friends of the River Kelvin' patches. This session is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund and is open to both beginners, and experienced sewers wanting to help out. The event is an opportunity to learn some basic sewing skills, make practical upgrades and connect with your fellow FORK volunteers.The sewing session will run from 18:00-20:00 on Wednesday 27th November 2024, with food and drinks available for those that attend.Places are limited to eight signups due to the number of sewing machines available. The Deep End has full accessability, with all materials, including Hi-Vis vests and sewing supplies provided.We can also offer help with transport to / from the event and help with covering the cost of any travel expenses.Please contact events@fork.org.uk if you have any further questions.We look forward to seeing you on the day!
