Join us for an online information session about the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship at Truro and Penwith College. This new role bridges the gap between care assistant/healthcare support and a Registered Nurse. As such it offers a vital career progression route for those working in primary and secondary healthcare and social care who wish to pursue nursing. Hosted by CHAOS TV, it will give further details about what the apprenticeship involves, how this new role slots in particularly in a care setting as well as the funding available to implement it. We&#x27;ll be joined by:Jo Barter , Apprenticeship Lead, East London Health and Care PartnershipJo will share the experiences and learning from a project that was set up in London between NHS Trusts and social care and primary care. This collaborative project enabled 5 nursing homes to support a small number staff to start the Nursing Associate Apprenticeship.Learn more about this project and the new Nursing Associate role. You will gain an insight into the role and how it differs from a Registered Nurse, the benefits of having this role as part of your team, how to embed this role in your organisation and points to consider when embarking on this journey. An inspiring presentation from Devon County Council about their pilot project introducing Nursing Associate roles into social care. Predominantly this included care homes with nursing attached but there was also one participating residential home without nursing.
