Roll Up Your Sleeves — Join in with our Animal Welfare Team
2 tickets a week to join our welfare checks, hands-on & supervised. Different species weekly — grooming, nail trims, worming & more.
Every week, our team carries out health checks on a selected group of animals here on the farm — and which species takes centre stage changes week to week. One week it might be trimming nails and grooming the rabbits, the next it could be worming the sheep or giving the tortoises a bath. Now you can join in. Two tickets are available each week for a hands-on session working alongside our keepers, closely supervised every step of the way. Because the animals change weekly, no two visits are ever quite the same — there's always something new to try your hand at. It's a rare chance to get properly up close with the animals while playing a real part in keeping them happy and healthy, and a brilliant experience for anyone who's ever wanted to work with animals.

Who are we?
Ark Farm is a small, family-run smallholding home to over 200 animals, from owls and donkeys to cows and rabbits. We are not a commercial farm — we supply no produce or meat to the food trade, and none of our animals are trained for performance. Most are born and raised on-site, growing up comfortable around people from an early age, with older stock enjoying a well-earned retirement in our fields. Our staff are qualified or training through animal and agricultural apprenticeships, and we hold the required DEFRA licensing for livestock movement. Above all, we're driven by education: helping children and adults build a genuine, hands-on understanding of animals and their welfare.
