About this event

  • Event lasts 6 hours

Join our wonderful day of walking and explore the Wold Rangers Way and Yorkshire Wolds Way around Thixendale, arguably one of the most picturesque areas along the trails. Enjoy a figure of eight walk, through dry dales and country lanes, with the opportunity to enjoy your packed lunch at the village hall, where you can enjoy a cuppa, chat to WRW and YWW staff and maybe plan your next walk.

This guided walk is approximately 9-miles and is a figure of eight style walk (two circular loops of approx. 4-miles and 5-miles each) taking place over a mixture of tracks, green lanes and footpaths. The first loop will be completed in the morning arriving back at Thixendale where the village hall will be open for you to eat your packed lunch (can be left in the hall if you wish). The afternoon will complete the second loop finishing again in Thixendale.

This walk should take approximately 6.5 hours (including lunch break)to complete depending on the walking pace of the group and the number of stops made.
