A walk in the woodland surrounding Coalbrookdale and Loamhole Dingle with some wonderful views across the Gorge.

Join Amber from the Severn Gorge Countryside Trust for a shorter evening walk encompassing some of the lovely sites surrounding Coalbrookdale. Starting in Coalbrookdale, you will traverse Loamhole Dingle before crossing Jiggers Bank into Vane Coppice. From there you will head into Oilhouse coppice and Rough Park before returning through Dale Coppice.

Grade of Walk: Easy/ Moderate

Length: 3 miles

Pace: Leisurely

Terrain: Mixed, some steps and hills, may be muddy under foot.

Steps and Stiles: Steps but no stiles

Dog Friendly: YES Dogs must be kept on a lead unless agreed with walk leader

Essential Information for Walkers:

All walks take place within the Ironbridge Gorge which will naturally include uphill and downhill sections.

Please come prepared for the walk, with water, drinks, snacks and lunch as appropriate as it is not possible to purchase items on route.

Good walking boots/shoes are essential and be prepared for wet or sunny weather- possibly both in the same day!

Children ( Under 18’s ) are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility and be capable of the distance, pace and duration of the walk.

Please allow plenty of time to reach your event parking can be tricky in the gorge! It is possible to reach Ironbridge via public transport but there are limited services. For information on local bus services see www.arrivabus.co.uk or www.telfordpublictransport.co.uk .

Medals are available for anyone completing 25,50,75 or 100 miles over 3 or more walks during the festival and if you complete over 150 miles you will receive our new Cartman Challenge medal – it has been done!!!

- A medals ceremony on the last day of the Festival at the All Nations Inn from 4.30pm.
