BOTA + BOA Culture & Diversity Champions proudly presents 'Tips & Tricks for the Ergonomic Orthopod', proudly sponsored by Depuy Synthes
The course aims to demonstrate, to medical students and junior doctors, techniques and practical tips and tricks when approaching certain tasks in orthopaedic practice. These include prosthetic hip joint relocation, distal radius fracture reduction and instrumentation of a femur or acetabulum. These can be procedures which some may find physically challenging.
This course will show you that anyone can do Orthopaedics, from any background or physical build. We demonstrate that it is skill and not force that makes a successful orthopod.
Consultant and registrar led small group stations covering:
- Distal radius reduction
- Shoulder, hip, ankle joint reduction
- Plaster casting
- Total Hip Replacement
- Leadership & Management
This event is FREE thanks to the generous sponsorship of Depuy Synthes.
CPD points have been applied for this course from the Royal College of Surgeons England
