Solemn Evensong of Thanksgiving for the Canonisation of St Oscar Romero will take place on Saturday 17th November 2018 at 3.00 pm.

To mark the landmark occasion of St Oscar Romero's Canonisation, Evensong will include chosen readings and music reflecting this special occasion. Co-sponsors for the service include the Archbishop Romero Trust, Churches Together in England, Christian Aid and the CAFOD. Cardinal Vincent Nichols has kindly accepted an invitation to give the Address. It is expected that HE The Ambassador of El Salvador will also attend.

To apply for up to six free tickets online, click on REGISTER above. Having done so, on the right of the first screen, click on GENERAL ADMISSION, choose to apply for your tickets giving the information requested, then click on CHECKOUT next screen. A link to your ticket (s) will be sent to the email address that you enter.

Doors will open at 2.30 pm and members of the congregation are requested to be seated by 2.50 pm.

What is the entrance to use to attend? Enter via the Sanctuary and Great West Door of the Abbey please and you will be directed accordingly.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket(s) to the event? Yes, you will need your ticket (s) and its a good idea to have a form of photographic identification on you, such as a passport or driving licence, in case you are asked to produce it for admission.

What is the dress code? Lounge suit or jacket & trousers for gentlemen, for ladies, day dress, trousers may be worn by ladies, hats not required.

What time do the doors open? 2.30 pm.

Can I bring a guest? You can apply for up to six tickets.

How long will Evensong last? Evensong will last approximately up to one hour.
