RECOGNISING STRONG LEADERSHIP IN GOVERNANCE

Joining the association at their virtual conference this year are.....<ul><li>Kate Richardson-Walsh OBE (former Captain of GB and England Women’s Hockey and Olympic Gold Medalist, Kate is the most capped female hockey player in her country&#x27;s history. An inspirational and charismatic leader, she has been widely credited for helping build the incredible team ethos , resilience and commitment that drove the GB team to win in the Rio Games).</li></ul><ul><li>Professor Mick Waters (Mick has a broad experience in many aspects of schooling. He currently works in schools to support leadership and teachers as well as helping governments with policy agendas. His recent book, &#x27;About Our Schools: Improving on Previous Best&#x27; (written with Tim Brighouse), was published in 2022.). </li></ul><ul><li>Emma Knights OBE (Emma is Chief Executive of the National Governance Association (NGA) - the leading charity for guidance, advice, research, and professional development for school governors, trustees and governance professionals. Emma is an accomplished writer and speaker on a range of school governance policy and practice topics). </li></ul>School/Trust Boards that have subscribed to CWGA for the current academic year will be able to attend this event Free of Charge. Leaders/Governors/Trustees from non-member school settings are welcome to join the event at a cost of £35 each.
