Join our Enterprise team &amp; NatWest Multicultural Network to kick start the celebrations for South Asian Heritage Month Delighted Dr Nasir Awan MBE DL will be sharing his entrepreneurial story He started in business in 1978 in retail, where he joined his late father, 1980 set up wholesale of consumer electronics and became one of UK’s major distributors for major brands. Was the largest independent distributor in the 80’s UK for audio and video tapes.When the brands started supplying direct to the retailers, then started importing Housewares and everyday use products from China. The company is now run by the 3rd generation operating from a 45’000 sq ft head office and showroom, supplying UK retailers as well as exporting to Europe and Africa. Warrant Officer 2 (WO2) Sarvjit Singh MBE, is Squadron Sergeant Major (SSM) for the 671 (HQ) Sqn, 2 Regiment Army Air Corps. He was born and brought up in Ambala Cantt, India and joined the Army in Jan 2004. During his tenure was deployed to Afghanistan and numerous Overseas military Exercises. 

In his current role as an SSM, he is the Officer Commanding&#x27;s primary advisor on all soldier and disciplinary issues. Moreover, his main goal is to support the development and continuous improvement of all soldiers of his Sqn. Over the years, he has achieved various qualifications through the military and became the first ever Sikh instructor at the Army Training Centre. In addition, in 2009, had the honor of becoming one of the first Sikhs to guard the late Her Majesty the Queen. For his achievements and contribution made to the lives of all Sikh military personnel and civil servants, he was awarded MBE in Dec 2020.
