For palliative care and bereavement support practitioners. Join us for this free, one day conference on Thursday 12th June 2025 at Thackray Museum, 141 Beckett Street, Leeds, LS9 7LN
Registration opens at 9.30am with an opportunity to meet colleagues and visit the stalls.
The morning session starts at 10.20am, chaired by Dr Mike Stockton – Chief Medical Officer and Consultant in Palliative Medicine at St.Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds
The morning presentations will be palliative care based themed;
Kathleen Smith – Leeds Teaching Hospitals Learning Disabilities team
Nicola Hibbert – Nurse Consultant (St Gemma’s Hospice) Leeds Palliative care Homeless Inclusion service
Aji Bai – Bereavement Nurse with Leeds Teaching Hospitals adult palliative care team
Laura Pusey – F.A.C.F.O (the Federation of African & Caribbean Funeral Operatives) and D.I.P.ism (Death in Practice)
The afternoon session starts at 1.15pm, chaired by Sue Sutton – Bereavement Counsellor (recently retired from Carers Leeds)
The afternoon presentations will be bereavement support themed;

Lisa Bourne, Deirdre Daly and Kiran Bains – Leeds MIND Suicide Bereavement Services

This is a free event. Please bring your own lunch or use the shop facilities at Gledhow Wing, St.James’s Hospital or the café at Thackray Museum. There is parking at the Museum and this is £5 for the day.
