Discover balance through yoga, mindfulness, and nature

Join us for a unique and immersive experience exploring the connection between ancient yoga philosophy, mindfulness practices, and the natural world. Led by British Wheel of Yoga teacher and Earth Trust Environmental Education Tutor, Kirsty Somerville, alongside Nature Facilitator, Nina Dedeken, this four-part workshop series invites you to reconnect with yourself and the elements that shape our lives.

Over monthly sessions (each 2.5 hours), we will explore the five fundamental elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air, and Ether - through gentle yoga, guided nature experiences, and mindful reflection. Understanding and balancing these elements within ourselves can foster a sense of harmony, wellbeing, and transformation.

Set in the tranquil surroundings of Earth Trust's local landscape, this event offers an opportunity to slow down, embrace the natural world, and inspire a sense of calm.

What to Expect:

  • Gentle yoga movement and breath awareness
  • Yoga philosophy discussions
  • Guided nature walks and mindful movement
  • Reflection and meditation

Workshop Dates & Themes:

Frequently asked questions

What is the 'Pay What You Can' pricing option?

We believe that cost should not be a barrier to participation so to make this event accessible to as many people as possible, we are trialling ‘Pay What You Can’ pricing. If you can afford to pay more than the standard price, your contribution will support Earth Trust's mission.

Can I bring my dog?

Although dogs are welcome to visit Earth Trust, due to the nature of this particular event, dogs will not be permitted.

Will the event go ahead if it's raining?

The sessions will go ahead, whatever the weather (unless extreme weather conditions). If we learn to experience the rain through our senses we can actually transform the way we see it, and even come to enjoy it! In the case of extreme weather, you will be notified in advance of any change of plans.

What level of fitness is required to take part in this event?

The exercises involve gentle stretches which are appropriate for all ages.

Organised by

Earth Trust is an environmental charity that inspires people to address the biodiversity, climate and public health crises through the power of natural green spaces. Together with our supporter community, we are guardians of some extremely special places in South Oxfordshire, rich in nature and heritage. We use these amazing places to engage and inspire people and to demonstrate nature-based solutions that we hope others will take and use elsewhere.
