Session 8 - Practical Approaches to Daily Living Skills in Activity Provision
Empower participants with life skills in personal care, household tasks, and budgeting discussions. This session explores practical activities to enable independence, from personal grooming routines to reminiscence-based conversations on shopping and cost-of-living changes.
Aim: To equip participants with practical activities that empower daily living skills.
Learning Outcomes:
1. Provide activities that encourage participation in household tasks.
2. Develop a budgeting reminiscence activity for individuals to share their experience of running a home.
3. Describe personal care routines that can be enhanced to improve engagement.

The training environment will need to be quiet and undisturbed.
Staff will need to give the course their full attention and should not be on duty.
Each person attending this event needs to have purchased a ticket.

As an attendee of the training day you MUST have your camera on during all of the sessions, this is to verify your participation/attendance.
Certificates of attendance will only be issued to attendees who attend for the whole of the session.
This course will be delivered via ZOOM and will include, presentations, discussion and reflection, case studies, videos and demonstrations. Please make sure that you are familiar with using ZOOM.
