This event is designed for families who are seeking support and guidance in helping a family member overcoming alcohol addiction and creating a fulfilling life in recovery. It is open to all regardless of what stage of recovery your relative is at. The addict can also attend with the family.

The event is being run by the Sikh Recovery Network, an organisation dedicated to providing support and resources for individuals seeking recovery from addiction. The initiative is in conjuction with SHARE Charity UK and National Sikh Police Association.

The event will cover the projects, resources and initiatives offered by the Sikh Recovery Network to give a better understanding of how we can help. The event will also integrate teachings from the Sikh faith and how it is important in recovery.

The event is suitable for families who supporting a relative in recovery from alcohol addiction. Previous knowledge of recovery is not necessary to attend.

The event will be led by the Sikh Recovery Network and volunteers with extensive experience in addiction recovery and spiritual practices. These guides will provide a supportive and safe environment for participants to explore their journey towards sobriety.

What do I have to bring with me?

All stationary, food, and refreshments will provided. All you need to bring is an open mind and a willingness to engage in the programme.

Will lunch and refreshments be provided?

Yes, there will be provision for refreshments and lunch. All food will be vegetarian. It is important to inform the organisers of any food allergies that you may have. Also that you bring your medications and take them as prescribed by your doctor (e.g. before, with a meal etc).

Can I bring my family with me?

Yes, you are welcome to bring your family with you to the event. The addict can also attend optionally. We encourage the support and involvement of loved ones in the recovery journey to provide valuable support and understanding. They can also benefit from the resources provided.
