No dogs allowed on this walk (unless assistance dogs).

This event is part East Devon National Landscape events programme for 2025.


Important information:

  • Meet: At the entrance to Aylesbeare Common (next to interpretation board on the opposite side of the road from the car park).
  • Car Park: Aylesbeare Common, Joney's Cross car park, (This is off the A3052 opposite Aylesbeare Common entrance), Devon, EX10 OBL. Free car park.
  • What three words: ///eyelid.besotted.towers
  • Distance: The walk will take a leisurely pace and the distance covered will be less than 1 mile - not suitable for wheelchairs.
  • Difficulty: Can be uneven in places..
  • Toilets: There are no toilets here. The nearest public toilets are in Sidmouth, 6 miles (9 km) away.
  • Clothing: Wear study shoes, mainly gravel paths so shouldn't be muddy.
  • Stick with the group: There will be a large group, so please keep close to the walk leaders so you can hear us and see what eachother find.
  • If extreme weather and high winds then this walk will not go ahead. Ruth will email you on the morning of the event should it be postponed.
