I want to donate to Amnesty, how do I do this?

Thank you for your generous donation! You can make a donation when booking your ticket by selecting the 'donation' option. There will also be donation points at the venue on the day.

Question 2

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Accepted Answer

Yes - the HRAC is a fully wheelchair accessible venue. Toilets are on the lower ground floor and accessible via lift. If you have any access requirements, please let us know when booking your ticket, advance notice is appreciated.

Question 3

What chairs do you have at the venue?

Accepted Answer

Seating is unallocated and on a first come, first served basis. The HRAC has a mixture of freestanding and tied-together chairs. The chairs do not have arms. Most chairs are: width 45cm, depth 45cm.

Question 4

I need to bring a carer/Personal Assistant, am I able to attend?

We are happy to book seats together to ensure that you and your carer can sit together throughout the event, if required. Please let us know when booking your ticket. All tickets are free, so of course carers come free!

Question 5

What provisions are made for D/deaf and hard of hearing attendees?

Accepted Answer

All spaces have hearing loops, except the 'Breakout Space' which unfortunately does not. All events in the Auditorium will have BSL interpreters. If you are joining online, automated closed captions will be available. If you require additional support, please let us know when booking your ticket.

I have a guide dog, am I able to attend?

Yes - please let us know when booking your ticket so we can reserve you a seat.

Is a quiet room available?

Yes – we have a quiet room. Please let a member of staff know if you require access on the day.

Question 8

Is there a minimum age to attend?

Accepted Answer

All ages are welcome for this event but anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Question 9

What catering will there be?

Accepted Answer

Meals will be provided; including a light Breakfast of biscuits, fruit and hot drinks, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday. All food will be vegetarian with vegan options and allergens will be clearly noted if used. If you have a dietary requirement, please let us know when booking

How do I get to the venue by train?

Nearest stations are Shoreditch High Street (5min walk: London Overground), Liverpool Street (10min walk: National Rail, London Overground, London Underground) and Old Street (10min walk: National Rail, London Overground, London Underground). Shoreditch and Liverpool Street have step free access.

Question 11

How do I get to the venue by car?

Accepted Answer

Parking is available on site for Blue Badge holders. There is limited street parking. Nearest car parks are: Euro Car Parks, Shoreditch High Street; NCP Great Eastern Street, Curtain Road; Hello Parking, Leonard Street; NCP Finsbury Square. Please check their opening hours before you travel.

Can I join the in person event late?

Yes - you are welcome to join at any point in the day, however we ask that you arrive at least 10minutes before the start of any events you wish to attend so as not to disturb other attendees. Please note: entrance to any event is at the discretion of the event organiser.

Yes - there is free Wi-Fi available on site.

I have a query that hasn't been answered - who should I contact?

You can email us at activistevents@amnesty.org.uk If you think there is an important question missing, let us know, so we can add it in and try to help as many people as possible.

Question 15

Will there be filming or photography at the event?

Accepted Answer

Filming and/or photography will be taking place and clear signage will be displayed across the site. Footage and images are used to promote the work of AIUK and to further the reach of our events. Those not wishing to be included in any footage should notify staff at the event.
