An Evening with the Rhythm Rascals

The Friends of Dundee Heritage Trust present an evening with the The Rhythm Rascals - a collective of early swing jazz musicians featuring Enrico Tomasso and Joplin Parnell from London alongside Katie Cavera and Hannah Dexter-Rose from Los Angeles!

Enrico is a five time “best trumpet player in the UK”, respected worldwide and in huge demand – Enrico’s playing is heavily influenced by Louis Armstrong – they met when Enrico was a boy and stayed in touch until Louis died.

Joplin Parnell is one of the brightest young players of New Orleans style piano today. Born into a musical family and splitting his time between his dual heritage of New Orleans and London; Joplin is a regular player at top venues including Ronnie Scott’s in London.

Katie Cavera is a shining star of old-time jazz and blues and her guitar and banjo playing is in demand around the world. She plays all the top festivals in the USA as well as a yearly teaching engagements at hot jazz camps in New York and New Orleans.

Hannah Rose Dexter plays the bass and is a talented composer. She has travelled the US and Europe performing jazz, blues and folkloric music.

A debut for all four musicians at the Verdant Works Museum – we are thrilled to be able to present this ensemble, who are excited to play together for the very first time in this line up in the iconic High Mill.
