Joining us on our Third Floor this spring is Anna Hedworth, who was recently named one of CODE Hospitality's 50 Women of the Year 2023 and is the chef-proprietor of two award-winning Newcastle upon Tyne establishments: Cook House and Long Friday.
Anna will be talking more about her brand new book Service, an intimate look into the daily operations of her celebrated restaurants that will take readers through a typical day, from early morning preparations to the final moments of the night, introducing you to all the characters from chefs and waiters to bartenders, farmers, fishing folk, and customers.
Known for her focus on local sourcing and sustainability, you’ll find a whole host of dishes inside that reflect her love for food, her ingredients, and the northeast of England – such as Spiced Pancakes with Poached Rhubarb & Raspberry for breakfast, BBQ Bavette & Courgettes with Sriracha Aioli for lunch, Braised Squid in Red Wine with Fennel & Samphire for dinner, and Blood Orange, Cardamom & Olive Oil Cake for dessert.
