A very special screening of this beautiful film about a young boy growing up in a fishing village in the 1940s, based on Christopher Rush’s semi-autobiographical novel. The novel was set in St Monans and the film was shot in Orkney. After the screening we will be joined by Rush (Writer), Ian Sellar (Director, Writer) and Chris Young (Producer) for a Q&A.

The film will start at 6.45pm and runs for 94 minutes. There will be a 45 minute Q&A afterwards.

Tickets are £6 for over 18s and £3 for under 18s. The film is certificate 12; under 16s should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. There will be hot drinks by donation and a pay bar.

Please note that seating is unreserved.

Is there parking

There is no official car park at Dreel Halls, but there is a small car park at the end of Esplanade. You can also park in the Harbour - both on street and a car park. It is about a 5 minute walk to Dreel Halls - perfect to stretch your legs before sitting down to watch the film!
