We have been providing event safety for over 15 years and started by providing safety cover to events, Over the years we have grown and have provided over 70 safety crew to a number of events. We can assist with all the management of your event from start to finish including risk assessments, safety plans and fully kitted crews.

This year the season starts on the 7th May and runs until the 17th September. We have also increased the pay to a minimum of £65 for most event for up to 5 hours, the majority of events are completed in 3 hours.

Minimum standards

Minimum Standards for safety paddlers we ask for min of 2 star or Explorer standard with FSRT, SESA or PSAR being an advantage but we can assist with training. For SUP paddlers we ask that you are confident on a board, can step back and reverse paddles, turn boards 360 with body and foot and can self rescue. (Boards can be provided)

If your not sure your up to standard then just email to registration@medicalwatersafety.co.uk, Please also send any qualifications to this email

Training

At Medical & Water Safety Ltd we are always focused on supporting the paddling community, that is why this season we are not making any profit from providing safety paddlers but putting it all back into funding training.

We have a number of courses being run this season, to not only improve the safety cover we provide but to improve your own skills sets and make it safer for everyone on the water. This season we will also be funding new paddlesports instructors and running more powerboat courses.
