What is Autism? - an introduction for those new to working with children with SEND hosted by Autism Union Ltd.


This 2-hour session will provide a brief introduction to what Autism is, and how it can impact children and young people on an everyday basis. Sharing the wonderful highs and the areas of difficulty a child may experience, this session will give an introduction to Autism - ideal for those who are new to the world of Special Educational Needs and Disability (SEND).


Further workshops are available that delve into the specifics of communication, sensory needs, anxiety and behavours that challenge. This is an online event, and will be hosted via Zoom.


Autism Union is a Company Limited by Guarantee, which is funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, to assist families or carers with an autistic child, young person or young adult.

No diagnosis is required to access any of our services, although due to personal circumstances and experience we specialise in supporting those with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
