Barrier and Back
Join us for a 2.5-hour kayaking trip to the Thames Barrier and back. Seeing Greenwich, Cutty Sark, Royal Observatory, Millennium Dome and paddling through London's world-famous flood defense. On the return route, you get a fantastic vista of the city and the tide whisks you westward toward our base. Suitable for all abilities including complete beginners.
All kit is provided we use stable double kayaks with rudders, making control simple, just dress warmly for the day as al other kit is provided. Our guides will keep you safe on the water and give you a fun day out. This trip is for adults only. London Kayak Company is a British Canoeing Approved Paddle Sports Provider and compliant with the Port of London Authority. The cost is £56.82 per person which is inclusive of VAT and booking fee.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
The event is for adults only.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
The best option is to use public transport. We will meet you on the beach in Greenwich our full address is London Kayak Company Springham Walk, River Gardens Walk, London SE10 0YP . Your trip will start and finish from the same location. We are 12 minutes walk from the Old Naval College , just follow the River East or 20 minutes Walk from the Mellimium Dome just follow the River West.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Bring comfortable clothes to paddle in, dress for the weather including a pair of training shoes you don't mind getting muddy. We supply all equipment including good quality waterproofs. Also, bring a complete change of clothes.
