About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour 50 minutes

Battersea Power Station is one of the most iconic industrial buildings in the world, one of the most ambitious mixed-use regeneration projects in Europe and the largest planning application ever secured in London.

It involved the meticulous restoration of Sir Giles Gilbert Scott’s Art Deco masterpiece and its integration with cutting-edge design by WilkinsonEyre.
How did it all get done?

Gordon Adams was Head of Planning and Public Affairs at Battersea for 12 years during the development phase. David Twohig was both the Chief Development Officer, and Head of Design and Placemaking. Gordon now runs Gordon Adams and Associates; David is a partner in MurrayTwohig.
