Big Mouth Saturday morning ice bath breakfast club

"WHO GIVES A F.CK WE DO" social club, by Bigmouth Guildford, is a passionate initiative driven by the founder, Stuart, who is dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of young men in Guildford. With the company motto "Building a Brighter Future," the club was established in response to the need for a safe space and support system for young men struggling with mental health challenges and thoughts of suicide.

The club is targeted at young men in the Guildford area, recognizing the need for a different approach to addressing mental health compared to existing support groups. The venues chosen for the club reflect this commitment to providing diverse and inclusive spaces for the community. "Maxesive Hub" on Aldershot Rd will host twice-monthly gatherings, offering men the opportunity to play darts, pool, table football, skittle table, air hockey, and battle it out on some old-school arcade games. Additionally, "H Bar" will serve as the venue for guest speakers, discussions on overall well-being and productivity, hosting our weekly breakfast club, and acting as the starting point for our future Saturday running club, providing a place for the boys to refuel and connect.

The inspiration for "WHO GIVES A F.CK WE DO" stemmed from the observation that existing support groups in Guildford, such as "Andy's Man Club," were facing challenges in attracting younger men, with an average age range of 35 to 70. Recognizing the urgency of addressing the alarming rates of young male suicide in the area, Stuart and his team sought to create a space where young men could find genuine support, understanding, and a sense of belonging.

The social club received funding to kick-start its activities, in addition to the overwhelming support from local businesses and community members who have rallied behind the cause. The club aims to foster a culture of openness, kindness, and connectedness, providing a lifeline for young men in need of support. With a strong focus on creating a positive and nurturing environment, "WHO GIVES A F.CK WE DO" is poised to make a meaningful impact on the mental well-being of young men in Guildford.
