Blades and Bows: An Intro to Adventure

Join us for Caledonian Starlight Guild’s very first event! We want to kick things off with two things we love—swords and archery!

As a thank you for attending our opening event, every guest will receive a tote bag featuring our logo.

For the afternoon, you'll spend an hour with a professionally trained HEMA swordsfighter who will teach you to wield a sword and defend yourself before trying out a group battle! For safety, training will be done with padded swords, but we'll have steel swords available for you to handle and take photos with.

You'll also spend an hour with a master archery coach. You'l be perfecting your aim, hitting some target shots and enjoying a bit of friendly competition with the other archers. There will also be a chance to try your luck at using a sword to deflect an arrow!

A professional photographer will be capturing the entire event, so you’ll have breathtaking photos to remember your adventure.

After your two hours of action-packed fun, we’ll hold a small prize ceremony for the top three archery scores, and everyone who participates in both activities will receive a certificate. Then you'll have the opportunity to take photos with props and a backdrop.

Dressing up in your best fantasy gear is not required, but it's definetely encouraged!

There will be nibbles and drinks to keep you refreshed throughout the event, but feel free to bring your own snacks if you’d like.

If you have any questions at all please contact us at: info@caledonianstarlight.com

We can't wait to see you there!
