About this event

  • Event lasts 3 hours
  • ALL AGES
  • Free venue parking

Blagdon Estate is a private family-run estate, only open a few times each year for the public to visit and enjoy. Lord and Lady Ridley are kindly allowing access to their private grounds, to help raise funds for St Oswald's Hospice patients and families – and we would love for you to join us!

Take a stroll through the quarry garden, various follies, formal gardens and woodland walks, featuring designs by architect, Sir Edwin Lutyens. As well as the beautiful gardens, you can also enjoy:

  • Classic Cars (weather permitting)
  • Tea, coffee and cakes
  • Live music and stalls in the courtyard

Most of the venue is wheelchair accessible but some walking paths may not be suitable in the event of adverse weather. There is limited accessible parking. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on leads. You can arrive any time from 1pm but please note that last entry to the estate is 3:00pm, as the event will shut promptly at 4.00pm.

There is plenty of free parking available onsite. This will be within a neighbouring field but hard standing parking will be available next to Blagdon Hall for those with accessibility needs.

Tickets will be available on the day subject to availability, at £10 per adult, Under 16’s are free.

Due to limited signal on the estate, our stalls will be cash only, so please bring cash if you wish to make purchases or donations.

We’re a charitable hospice rooted in the North East. We provide outstanding, specialist and expert care to adults and children with life-limiting conditions. We strive to provide quality time for everyone.

To enable us to provide these vital services free of charge to the local community  we need to raise £8.5 million of this through voluntary giving. We rely on the incredible support, effort and generosity of our wonderful supporters in order to be able to do this. Thank you.

Our Vision Statement is:

Together, with others, we will make the most of time and improve quality of life for everyone, of all ages, in the North East who are living with a progressive life-limiting condition, and for their families and carers too.

Our Mission Statement is:

Together, with the vital support of our staff, volunteers, donors, customers and supporters, we will continue to develop and grow our services so that everyone in our region gets expert, dignified and compassionate care when and where they need it.
