Book Folding takes many forms that have grown in popularity over the last few years. However, book folding was around in this country many years ago when churches made angels from old hymn books – Hymnal Angels.
This beginner’s workshop is light hearted, fun and aimed to give a taster of the basic skills needed to produce this popular art. Ideal to give as a gift or a bespoke item for the home.
In this class you will learn how to choose an appropriate book, prepare it and apply folds to the pages to create a candle shape. Once finished you will be able to decorate your piece with ribbon and embellishments in a choice of Christmas or everyday style before taking home with you. An LED candle will be provided to finish the effect. If you wish to continue at home kits are available to buy on the day.
Everything is provided for you to learn the Measure, Mark, Fold technique. A selection of books and patterns will be available for you to complete your project and if you wish to continue at home patterns are available to buy on the day.
We truly belive creativity has a huge positive effect on your wellbeing!
