Frequently asked questions
This event has always sold out so, in an effort to make acquiring a ticket as fair as we can we release tickets in a series of 'drops' each containing a portion of the overall tickets available. We aim to do these at different times/days of the week to accommodate as many people as possible.
3 Probably. We release some tickets as pay-it-forward, free tickets for certain groups or prizes but these are usually hidden from main view. We usually do 3 main public ticket drops.
Possibly. Sponsors get tickets as part of most sponsor packages. We will also run a waitlist so sign up and be prepared to grab you ticket if you get lucky. The waitlist will be operational from when the final ticket drop sells out - if you can't see it then there's probably another drop due...
We usually announce them on social media - Linkedin, Bluesky, Twitter or at events like other UK BSides. Or just mash F5 to refresh Eventbrite (please don't do this!).
We've sold out the Easter ticket drop (and the special BSides Lancs friends drop)already. We will do the 2nd drop around when we announce the keynote (roughly first week of May). The 3rd drop will be around last week of May or first week of June.
The main conference is open to all ages however we ask for an adult to attend with anyone 16 or under (each will need a ticket). Any additional after party will be held in a licensed venue and Leeds licensed venues generally operate either Challenge 21 or Challenge 25 which require id to prove age
People's plans change - we get it so we can issue refunds up to about a week beforehand. These tickets will go straight back on sale so if you see the odd ticket appear that's probably why. We can only refund £10 - the other £1.55 is eventbrite fees and is non-refundable.
