Budapest100

Winner of the European Heritage/Europa Nostra Award in 2023, Budapest100 is an annual weekend festival, organised by the Hungarian Contemporary Architecture Centre (KÉK), that celebrates the built heritage of Hungary’s capital city. Unlike other initiatives that primarily showcase notable monuments, Budapest100 embraces the intrinsic value of every building, irrespective of outstanding architectural merits. During the webinar, project coordinator Barbara Szij will discuss how this program strengthens urban communities, raises awareness of common heritage, and addresses current urban environmental issues at the community level.
