🥾 ABOUT THE WALK 🥾

This is a moderate to challenging walk and a perfect training hike for those completing an AG challenge during 2025. The walk starts at the main car park in the heart of Buron Dassett Hills County Park and then we head out of the park on a steep decline. This is such a good training hike as we have a real mix of terrain. From steep inclines and declines, a 2 mile stretch along the canal and also a longish stretch (about a mile) along a bridle path which is tarmac / road. We do have several stiles to clamber over and there are some tight kissing gates (good practice for those carrying large rucksacks!) - unfortunately, this means that it is not really a suitable walk for bigger dogs.

We will stop a few times on route, plus a break for lunch - so please bring along a packed lunch. We also stop at a fabulous pub for a coffee and cake which is approximately 2 miles before the end.

❓ ROUND-ROBIN QUESTION: Are you training for a hike? If so, please share.

If this is your first AG walk, then please arrive nice and early and seek out the walk leader who will give you a warm welcome.
