About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

Feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or depleted as the week begins?
This live weekly session is a calm, supportive space to slow down, refocus, and reconnect, blending mindfulness, breathwork, and practical reflections to help you reset.

Led by James Wittering, a certified mindfulness based cognitive therapy teacher (MBCT) and nature-based guide, this session helps you shift gears from stress and reactivity into a state of clarity, calm, and presence.

What you'll experience:

  • A short check-in and mindful arrival
  • A grounding breath or sensory awareness practice
  • A reflection or journaling prompt inspired by nature or Stoicism
  • A nature focused grounding practice
  • Optional sharing and community connection
  • A closing ritual to support your intention for the week

This is not a course, it’s a guided weekly pause. Each session stands alone, so you can drop in any time and leave with something useful and restorative.

Who it's for:

  • Anyone craving more calm and focus
  • Creatives, professionals, and carers feeling burned out
  • Those looking for mindful tools grounded in real-world challenges
  • No prior mindfulness experience needed

What you'll need:

  • A quiet space (or headphones)
  • A notebook or journal (optional)
  • Something to drink (tea, water, wine – we don’t judge)

When:

Every Monday at 7:30 PM (UK time)
Held live on Zoom. You'll receive the link upon registration.

  • General Admission: £12

James is a certified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), and integrates teachings from Stoic philosophy and nature-based wisdom into his approach. His sessions are warm, gentle, and rooted in both science and ancient practice.

James also runs seasonal 8-week online courses based on MBCT and nature-based mindfulness. Ask about the next course after the session or visit witteringwellbeing.co.uk.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to have experience with mindfulness or meditation?

Not at all. This session is designed to be accessible, even if you're completely new. You’ll be guided gently through each step.

What if I can’t attend live? Will there be a recording?

At the moment, these sessions are only live and not recorded, to create a safe, present space. If there’s demand, we may add replays in future!

Can I join late or leave early?

You’re welcome to arrive a few minutes late or leave early if needed, though arriving on time will help you settle in more fully.

Is this a course or a drop-in class?

This is a drop-in session, not a course. You can come to one, come weekly, or pop in as needed, each session stands alone.

Will I have to speak or turn on my camera?

No, there’s always the option to stay off-camera and just listen. Sharing is completely optional.
