Be part of history as Camden High Street transforms into a thriving space for the community with the official launch of its pedestrianisation trial - creating a healthier, safer and more enjoyable place for residents, businesses and visitors.

Since its creation in 1965, the borough of Camden has been a creative powerhouse and cultural landmark. Camden at 60: The Big Street Party is a free, community-centred event that celebrates Camden’s 60-year legacy while also commemorating VE Day 80, remembering 80 years since Victory in Europe Day.

Take a seat at our communal table stretching through the centre of our iconic high street – no cars, no traffic, just the buzz of conversation, the rhythm of great music and the energy of local creatives taking to the stage.

This is just the beginning! The Big Street Party marks the launch of Camden High Street Live. Thanks to the pedestrianisation trial, we’re bringing five exciting events to the high street over the next 12 months!

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to reconnect with your community, meet your neighbours and be part of an unforgettable moment for Camden High Street.

The trial pedestrianisation will run for up to 18 months and will include a short section of the High Street, from the junction of Parkway, Camden Road and Kentish Town Road (just before Camden Town Underground Station) to the junction with Hawley Crescent and Jamestown Road. Find out more >
