We are delighted to announce the 3rd annual educational virtual event put together by the four Northern Local Clinical Research Networks (North East and North Cumbria; North West Coast; Yorkshire and Humber, and Greater Manchester). The focus for this event will be Cardiovascular diseases and incorporate Screening Prevention and Early Detection (SPED).

There will be presentations on a range of topics to raise awareness of what is happening in Cardiovascular care; treatment and research and how this can help improve prevention, treatment and care for people with this condition.

Cardiovascular Diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally, taking an estimated 17.9 million lives each year. More than four out of five CVD deaths are due to heart attacks and strokes, and one third of deaths occur prematurely in people under 70 years of age. The event is free and open to anybody who works in Cardiovascular diseases including patients or carers.
