Celebrate 20 Years of Walking! 200 Mile Team Challenge

We are offering a 200 mile Team Challenge for up to 5 people per team. Team members can complete any distance to make up to 200 mile total.

  • Event lasts 8 days 9 hours

To take part:


  1. Pick a Team Name
  2. Team comprises of 2 to 5 members
  3. One person per team can book via Eventbrite but will need the names and emails of team members.
  4. Team Members can do any distance and if they wish, and can still get their individual Medal.
  5. Individuals must also book tickets for the individual walks.
  6. The mileage of all team members must add up to a minimum of 200 miles.
  7. The maximum mileage for any one person is 169 Miles over the 9 days doing the longest walks every day.
  8. We would advise against people doing the longest walks every day as well as the evening walks on the same day over the course of the 9 days.

The Ironbridge Gorge Walking Festival Experience

- A warm welcome.

- Over 60 free walks from 2 to 21 (ish) miles over a nine-day period.

- Morning, afternoon and evening walks.

- Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult with parental responsibility.

- Dog friendly walks.

- Friendly and experienced walk leaders who are passionate about walking and who love the area.

- Medals for completing 25, 50, 75, 100 or 150 miles (Cartman Challenge)

- An opportunity to experience the beautiful landscape of the Gorge, learn about its industrial heritage and even climb The Wrekin, one of our famous Shropshire landmarks which offers a bird’s eye view of the Gorge.

- A medals ceremony on the last day of the Festival at the All Nations Inn from 4.30pm.
