About this event

Charles Dickens experienced London as a city of endless possibilities, and endless are the London locations connected with him. This virtual tour uses old maps, photographs and early illustrations to reveal a few of the highlights, famous and obscure, of the London he knew. Follow the trails of Fagin, Nancy and the Artful Dodger, Bradley Headstone and Lizzie Hexham, Pip and Magwitch, Sydney Carton and others past the altered faces of Bow Street and Newgate, Temple Bar and Wood Street, through the remaining glories of the Inns of Court, to the vanished despair of Field Lane. Along the way, take a moment to contemplate the changes at Lincoln’s Inn which make tracking the locations of Bleak House a piece of detective work fit for Mr Bucket himself…

When you book you will receive a Zoom link from your guide two days before the event and a reminder one hour before the start. Please book one ticket per attendee. Please note this is a live event only and takes place at 19:00 London time which is GMT for March 9 and BST for April 27.
