Paediatric Emergency Nursing Education teams from Evelina London, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, and the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, have come together to develop a BCYPs emergency nursing/AHP course.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced emergency nurses/ AHPS caring for BCYPs in the emergency department, to develop their skills when assessing and caring for BCYPs presenting in ED requiring medical or psycho-social care; including minor injuries, critical care, and major trauma.

Who is this module intended for?

  • Adult ED nurses who regularly care for BCYPs in ED and have completed the paediatric section of the RCN Emergency Nursing Competencies (Level 1).
