Circus Throwdown: Free shows and workshops for young people in Stoke

Watch the competition and join the challenge! Before SHOWDOWN hits the main stage at New Vic Theatre, Circus Throwdown gives you a first taste of the competition.

Three skilled circus performers will compete in this local heat for a chance to advance to the next level: to tour the UK in the SHOWDOWN finals. Our mischievous host will guide the contestants through high-energy challenges as they display their circus talents and fight for your approval!

The Circus Throwdown mini-show is free and open for anyone to attend before the workshop. Feel free to stop by and see the show beforehand at 3pm.

After the show, you can step into the competitors' shoes with our free 45-minute acrobatics workshops. Young people will learn basic solo and partner acrobatics from our professional artists and discover their own hidden talents.

Suitable for all young people up to the age of 18. Tickets are free but booking is required. Book one ticket per young person. If you're booking for anyone under the age of 14 please ensure a suitable parent/guardian will remain at the workshop.

Circus Throwdown is a part of the 'Circus Comes Home' partnership between Upswing and New Vic Theatre. Circus Throwdown is supported by New Vic Theatre, and the sister show, SHOWDOWN will tour to the New Vic from the 8-10 May.
