About this event

Bodhi is our inherent potential to be awake.

To be awake simply means to be present, to be with our experience, to be with whatever is going on.

Through the practice of meditation, we gradually begin to get closer and closer to that capacity we all have, to be fully present, appreciate every moment, and eventually experience peace and contentment.

This is what the practice of meditation is and much more. We learn how to be with our mind and live our life in a way that creates less stress and confusion.

We have more presence, more happiness and a greater feeling of stability.

Bodhi courses are a project of Rigpa. They follow a path of discovery through the following three main areas:

1.Clear mind – transforming the mind through meditation.

2.Open heart – opening our heart through compassion.

3.Seeing reality – seeing reality through wisdom.

Rigpa UK’s events and courses offer people, whatever their age, culture or background, an opportunity to explore the understandings and practices found in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition - meditation, compassion and the wisdom of coming to know our own minds – and to bring their benefits into everyday life. For those who are interested, we offer a progressive path of study and practice for anyone who wishes to follow the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni and in particular the Mahayana Buddhist tradition of Tibet.
