Join us for a playful evening of sharing humour in a cosy space. There will be a great lineup of comedians, including:
SAMANTHA DAY – HEADLINER is the sassy, award-winning stand-up mum of six Millennials/Gen Zers. Her comedy career kicked off after three decades as an accountant and single mum. Now she's been freed from the city, she's really hit her stride, as a truly original act who's progressing fast on the circuit.
Last year, Samantha's sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show, "The Booby Trap" (which, as the title suggests, is all about boobs) was nominated for the prestigious Amused Moose Award. And the year before that, she won New Comedian of the Year at the Southport Comedy Festival.
IAN MURPHY brings a unique mix of '80s cynicism and contemporary confusion to the stage. Originally from Liverpool, Ian's transition from a failed football career and a loss of £1M live on TV to stand-up comedy has provided him with a wealth of material that resonates with audiences. Now living away from his hometown for over half his life, Ian humorously reflects on his recovering "scouseness" and the cultural shifts he's witnessed.
KATE PENFIELD - Self-deprecating single mum of two boys, exploring the nightmare of dating when you’ve let yourself go.
SAM MICHAEL - The perfect comical balance of excitable lad and exhausted dad, Sam Michael is a comedian who's quickly making a name for himself on the UK Circuit with his cheeky/likeable stage presence "full of laughs and friendly patter" (Swindon Advertiser Newspaper) who is "effortlessly able to win over the crowd" (WE ARE CULT online)
Sam's observational, relatable and yet, absurdist take on modern life appeals to a diversity of audiences, thanks to his "carefully constructed and high-energy routines that are both honest and hilarious" Hungerford Comedy Club.
