Their talk? 'Designing for Serendipity'

With our eyes set on quantifiable results and predictable outcomes, there's little room for the serendipitous. Has the value of the unexpected, the joy of discovery, the power of human connection become a frivolous pursuit pushed to the back of a result-driven mind?

Sam Russell, Creative Director &
Orlaith Wood, Creative Director - reedwords.com

Reed Words are global experts in language and copywriting for brands.

Designers are writers too. From pitching ideas to exploring headlines, words are essential to the discipline of design. Orlaith and Sam will talk about the power of words, what they can do for brands, and why they should be every designer's secret weapon.

Common Interest is brought to you by Craft.

Craft is a global design recruitment company with a simple ambition: to enhance the studios, careers, and lives of everybody we partner with. Across the globe, we work with world-class agencies and design studios of all sizes. As the eyes and ears in the marketplace, we find you right people; those hard-to-find, cream-of-the-crop, incredibly talented people.

It's our job to highlight and celebrate the most incredible design talent the world has to offer. So it’s only right that we give those people a platform by hosting our own events.

We enhance the whole career cycle of people working in design - that’s why we sponsor inclusive creative careers resources, build partnerships within design education, offer free portfolio reviews and... host events to inspire people!
