We are running a programme of Orchard care workshops and volunteer days across community Orchards in Bristol, Bath and South Gloucester. We aim to train up local communities in practical orchard management.

For this session our Project Officer Janine, will deliver a training workshop and practical session in Summer fruit tree pruning and fruit tree care. You will learn the key principles in fruit tree pruning aswell as get stuck into some tree TLC in the form of weeding and mulching around the trees.
- Summmer Fruit tree pruning
- Carrying tree guard repairs/maintnance
- Replacing/adjusting tree ties
- weeding and mulching
The day will consist of the training session in the morning and then an afternoon of practicing the techniques learnt under the supervision of Janine. All Health and Safety provison will be covered in safety briefing at the start of the session.
No skills or expertise required, all training, tools and PPE are provided. Please bring sturdy footwear and clothes you don't mind getting muddy, a packed lunch and plenty of water.
