If you're looking for ways to connect with other business people, freelancers and those thinking of starting up, this is the place!
Connected Networking is a relaxed in-person networking session tailored for black and racially minoritised people who are starting or have an existing business to support each other, make new business connections and learn about BIPC Sussex services.
This event is designed to create a welcoming space for open discussions, facilitated networking, and a sense of belonging.
About the session host
Yemisi Mokuolu is an independent producer and the Founder & CEO of Hatch Ideas Worldwide Ltd. She set up Hatch to support entrepreneurs, pioneers and innovators realise their projects businesses and ideas for cultural and social change. Yemisi has over 17 years’ experience producing capacity build programmes and delivering training workshops around the world and she is best known for her work supporting the development of the Creative industries across Africa and African creative content globally. As a trainer she specialises in Fundraising and has delivered workshops for a wide range of organisations from; Africalia, British Council, British Library (BIPC London), Goethe Institute, King's College London, Royal College of Arts, Social Enterprise London and the School of Social Entrepreneurs.

What is your cancellation policy?
The majority of our events are free, but places are often limited - especially for in-person events, therefore please make sure you cancel your place, if you are unable to attend. You can cancel through your Eventbrite booking or emailing bipc@brighton-hove.co.uk.
Can I attend if I'm not a member of the library?
Absolutely! Any Sussex based business/ person with a business idea is welcome. Though we always recommend joining the library as it's free and will make accessing our databases, books and publications much easier.
