About this event

  • Event lasts 1 hour

The University of the West of Scotland (UWS) postgraduate programme in Contemporary Drug & Alcohol Studies (CDAS) is a fantastic course for people looking to work and research in this area, and for practitioners looking to develop their practice and progress their careers. The course is grounded in Scotland and the UK, and global in outlook.

As part of their studies, students will be supported to:

  • examine the social, cultural, and political influences on drug/alcohol use and policies,
  • explore the evidence base for responses that reduce harms and support recovery, and
  • undertake a work-based placement to apply their learning to practice.

We offer a range of study options – full-time or part-time, online or on campus (Paisley) – and a student-centred learning environment.

We welcome Scottish, rest of UK and international applications from people who have a degree and/or relevant professional experience. All applications are considered on an individual basis.

More information about the course is available on the UWS website here, or email us at CDAS@uws.ac.uk
