Cooper King Distillery in Yorkshire is one of the most exciting English distilleries in operation, and the most sustainable. Creating carbon-negative whisky that's full of flavour is all in a day's work for this couple-led distillery 30 minutes from York City centre. Using heritage grains, a Tasmanian still and interesting casks (all small barrels for faster, more flavoursome maturation), everything released by them to date has been universally praised and sought after.
In this tasting we're bringing together ALL of their cask series releases to date for you to sample, interrogate and enjoy. These are their single cask & "Double Matured" releases with some fascinating cask types and a very special sample from our very own 100 litre 'Dark Fired' bourbon cask. The full line up is:
- Single Cask: Cognac
- Single Cask: America Rye barrel
- Double Matured: New Oak into Armagnac
- Double Matured: Australian Tawny into Peated
- Cask Sample: MB Roland 'Dark Fired' bourbon cask
This is a rare and remarkable line-up as most of these are now sold out (some bottles will be available to purchase exclusively for attendees on the night, availability pending). Price includes postage. Over 18's only. Cooper King themselves charge £10 per dram of these whiskies at their bar, so you're getting the product for less than market price, posted AND an intimate online tasting with the distillers and founders themselves.
