I'm coming by car. Where can I park?

The Sandwich Medieval Centre is located right next to a public car park

Can I come by public transport?

Yes, bus services operate from the forecourt of the Guildhall which is just a few minutes walk away from the Centre. You can also come by train which is also a short walk to the Quay.

How accessible is the workshop space?

The workshop space is located upstairs and the stairs are a little steep.

Are there toilets?

Yes, the other side of the car park.

Is there anywhere to eat locally?

Oh, goodness, yes! Plenty of pubs and restaurants to suit all tastes.

What is your refund policy?

Cancellations are accepted for refunds up to 14 days before the event.

Carol is an experienced teacher and has been making and researching corn dollies for several years. She is also a medieval musical re-enactor playing hurdy gurdy and an assortment of wind instruments with the Kent band Rough Musicke and part of a team providing education and training in a variety of crafts at the Sandwich Medieval Centre. She is a member of, and the information officer for, the Guild of Straw Craftsmen and is a holder of their Craftsman's Award. She is also a Member of the Basketmakers' Association and the Heritage Crafts Association where corn dolly making is officially listed as at the risk of extinction!
