Countryside Days

Wednesday June 4 - Thursday June 5 2025

A unique FREE event for KS2 children providing an action-packed day of interactive workshops, arena shows and demonstrations providing a wealth of cross-curricular learning.

Each school will be sent a bespoke timetable with six interactive sessions and free time to spend at the arenas and displays to ensure you get the most out of your day.

Timetables and maps are issued in advance of the event and there are plenty of stewards on hand to help you find the right location.

Gates open at 9.30am with sessions starting at 10am. The sessions finish at 2.30pm for a 2.45pm departure.

Schools are welcome to attend both days with different groups.



Please note:

This event is for KS2 children only.

The minimum group size is 10 but there is no maximum number (space allowing).

If necessary, larger groups will be divided into smaller groups (around 15-20) for the workshop sessions.

The Yorkshire Agricultural Society organises free courses for teachers and experience days for children at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate and other locations across Yorkshire. As part of its charitable work, the Yorkshire Agricultural Society works to educate others about Farming, and the countryside.

All courses and school events are free of charge and are funded by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. The commercial activities of the Society, including Fodder Farm Shop & Cafe, Pavilions of Harrogate and Yorkshire Event Centre contribute to the funding of the Society's charitable work.
