Creating better tech with design research
In a world saturated with tech, is it still possible to create stand-out products and services that users can’t wait to get their hands on?
The answer is yes! - but only if the focus is on people, rather than on the tech.
As LEGO learned in the early 2000s, the way to build the next big thing is to take the focus away from features. The place to begin is with people - what they need, want and think.
What will you get from attending this session?
In this workshop, we’ll explore how design research can be used to generate, validate and build tech ideas that are commercially successful because they solve real problems for real users.
You'll learn...
- How to plan and structure research
- How use research to uncover great ideas
- How research can be used to build better, more inclusive products
- How to use research insights to make great design decisions
Who should come along?
If you’re a founder, you’re working in a company that wants to innovate and grow, or you’re just interested in research, product design or innovation, come along. The session will be fun, interactive and give you plenty to think about.
